🪞 ENTRY 012 // I Only Feel Safe When I’m Hiding

I used to wait for someone to find me.
Now I pray they never do.

I only feel safe when I’m hiding.
Not because the world is cruel—
but because I’ve made my shadow a home.

There's a comfort in not being seen.
A stillness in shrinking.
Because if no one sees you,
no one can ruin you.

Some people heal by blooming.
I healed by vanishing.
And that’s still healing.

If you live in the background,
if you speak in lowercase
and dream behind closed eyelids—
you are not broken.
You’re just surviving in silence.

And survival is sacred.

🪞 Reflection:

What part of you do you keep hidden—not out of shame, but out of safety?
And what would it take for that part to feel safe in the light?
